1. why is the panel embraced with frame (floating panel), instead of one piece panel?
solid wood is sensitive to the weather (humidity) change, it may contract and expand. the design of the panel embraced with frame but not gluing them together, gives space for the panel to move so as to prevent the cracking.
2. how do you prevent the furniture from cracking?
only the woods having been kiln-dried in our kiln-drying chambers will be used in the production line, so as to prevent the end products from cracking even they are used in dry areas. the use of floating panel also help prevent it from cracking.
3. why it takes so long (about 2 months) to make the furniture?
as the furniture is not joined with nails and screws, instead it uses stronger construction, three-way double locking, mortise and tenon with floating panel, this takes longer time than other kind of constructions.
besides, the smooth finish is archieved by applying the dye and natural Chinese lacquer to the end product for serveral coats. in between this process, it takes time for drying and sanding. that's why it takes longer time, but the furniture is much durable than other kinds and the transparent finish allows you to see the beautiful grains and texture of the furniture.
4.how to clean the furniture?
you had better to use damp cloth to clean it. apply chemical cleaner as least as possible. occasionlly apply lemon oil will make glossy-finish furniture lustrous. you should use the beewax to wipe the matte-finish furniture. use the wrong chemical cleaner may destroy the furniture finish.
5. how about the maintainence of the furniture?
keep away the furniture from the sunshine, as the sunray will make the color becomes lighter. insert a mat or cloth before putting hot items on the furniture as the hot items will make a mark on the furniture surface. keep away the air-conditioner or heater from the furniture as far as possible so as to minimise the furniture from cracking.
